Soccer – What’s Wrong With Man United?

It’s still early so I’m not totally into the Premier League but I checked the standings today and was shocked to see Manchester United in 15th place.  What’s going on?  Sure, they have a game in hand and could, theoretically, be 7th after that game but come on.  I know it’s still early and Man U heats up after the holidays but if they don’t win this weekend against Bolton I will be seriously worried. 

Look at their roster, they have the horses.  With players like Berbatov, Rooney, Tevez and Ronaldo, there is no reason why this team can’t score at least three goals a game.  I know Ronaldo may not be 100% healthy but the rest should be eating up EPL defenses. 

Owen Hargreaves, we heard stories about you when you were at Bayern and you were one of the top players for England in the world Cup in 2006 but it’s time for you to earn your money and prove yourself worthy of wearing the shirt.  I had high hopes for you but you have not lived up to my expectations.

Can Ji-Sung Park please get some playing time this year?  I know he got hurt last year but I like what I see from him when he plays.  He’s got good pace and he see the field very well.  He could surprise us all. 

I know Man U won the Champions League last year but they should be at or near the top of the Premiership every year.  With this much talent there is no excuse for them not to get it done.  After all, we’re not Manchester City!
